The Egyptian women’s rights activist Nawal al-Saadawi, who repeatedly caused controversy with her writings on sexuality and religion, died on Sunday at the age of 89. This was reported by the Cairo newspaper “Al-Ahram”. Al-Saadawi published around 50 writings over the years, which have been translated into 30 languages, including “A Woman at Zero Point” and “Women and Sexuality”.
