They meet with business federations to discuss the increase in the number of outbreaks in the workplace.
Lhe Prime Minister, Alexander De Croo, will meet on Tuesday afternoon, during an emergency meeting, business federations facing the increase in the number of epidemic outbreaks in the workplace, his cabinet announced. The objective of the meeting is to “empower” everyone on the importance of teleworking.
“Data from the RAG (Risk Assessment Group) show that currently 40% of active clusters in Belgium are found in the workplace. These percentages are constantly increasing. The data on mobility show that we are back, in terms of traffic, above the October figures (before the second wave). Lastly, inspections in companies show a certain number of infringements, ”underlines the Prime Minister’s office.
In the morning, the Minister of Health, Frank Vandenbroucke, recalled on Radio 1 the importance of teleworking. Compliance with current health rules is more than ever required in the face of the increase in epidemiological figures so as not to compromise the objectives that were set during the last consultation committee, in particular on the return of face-to-face lessons to school, he explained. Frank Vandenbroucke will also attend the meeting.
