Ten years after the start of the conflict in Syria, more than five million Syrians still live far from their country, which they had to flee to find refuge in a neighboring country or beyond. Turkey alone hosts more than 3.6 million of them, by far the world record. The Syrians have rebuilt their lives there and many no longer think of returning to their country.
