BeWellPBC is a community-based partnership of local nonprofits and government agencies aimed at addressing important issues in the field of behavioral health. The project includes a variety of initiatives such as establishing a statewide database of mental health care, the development of an action plan, and other efforts. Partners include Southeast Florida Behavioral Healthcare Network, Palm Beach County, Children’s Services Council of Palm Beach County, the Community Foundation for the Palm Springs and Martin Counties, the Merrell Family Foundation, and others.
Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches has helped adults overcome the mental and emotional challenges associated with substance abuse for over 20 years. The staff members are dedicated to helping patients achieve recovery through holistic treatments. These programs include PHP (psychosocial rehabilitation), IOP (interpersonal psychotherapy), and spiritual faith-based treatment. These programs help clients overcome a variety of problems and conditions related to substance abuse, including addiction. In addition, they also help people overcome co-occurring disorders and other disorders that often accompany or complicate mental health.
Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches is a consortium of rehab centers and treatment facilities within ten miles of each other. The organizations were founded by Donald K. Mullaney, a recovering addict and graduate of the University of South Florida. His mission is to help individuals overcome the addiction to drugs and alcohol.
