Learning how to increase orgasm has fascinated people for centuries. For every geeky scientist who spends the night in a lab, there are some really cool characters. One of the more unusual characters was simply named Narjani. He would change sexual research permanently with his discovery of the types of vagina teleclitoridiennes, mesoclitoridiennes and paraclitoridiennes.
Narjani was (obviously) a pseudonym. The researchers’ name was actually Princess Marie Bonaparte (Yes, she was related to Napoleon). Princess Bonaparte spent most of her life without orgasms. This was not for lack of trying, as she not only had a husband, but also several lovers. Frustrated, she convinced herself that something must be physically wrong with women who couldn’t have an orgasm. He began one of the most exhaustive searches in the history of sex research: measuring the exact anatomy of as many women as possible. What he discovered would change everything.
The three types of vagina
While they may seem like creatures from Jurassic Park, the three types of vagina, teleclitoridiennes, mesoclitoridiennes, and paraclitoridiennes almost perfectly predict which women can have a penetrative orgasm and which cannot. Marie divided the women into each of these groups based on the distance between the clitoris and the vagina and whether the test subject could freely orgasm with intercourse alone:
If the distance was approximately one inch (between two and three centimeters) the woman was a teleclitoridienne. Marie wrote that a fifth of the women belonged to this group. Sadly, this was because these women rarely orgasm during intercourse. Marie was also a teleclitoridian and, like other similar women, most of her adult life was spent without orgasms.
On the other side were the paraclitoridiennes, who had orgasms easily during intercourse. Princess Bonaparte admitted to having ‘vagina envy’ when she wrote about the lucky women who, because the clitoris and vagina were closer to an inch, enjoyed the man’s pelvic movements directly on her clitoris and were able to enjoy the orgasms that she lacked. It seems Marie got a bit carried away when she announced that 65 percent of women had these advantageous genitalia – most modern researchers put the number closer to 30 percent.
The remaining women were mesoclitoridens who could occasionally reach orgasm from penetrative intercourse. For these women, their partner’s skills made all the difference. These women had a distance between their female erogenous zones of approximately one inch.
The ‘golden rule’ and how to increase orgasm in all types of vagina
If you can’t figure out how big an inch is, you can estimate with your thumb (most thumbs are one inch thick). Later, a sex researcher named Kim Wallen would make up a tongue-in-cheek song: “If the distance is less than the width of your thumb, you are likely to come.”
So it’s all doom and gloom for teleclitoridiennes, right? Not really! Refusing to give up, Princess Bonaparte conducted a series of bedroom experiments with five different lovers. He found that he could have an orgasm much more easily if he used a sitting position, face to face.
Similarly, many commenters have noted that while a raised clitoris makes orgasm difficult during penetration, it makes it much easier for your partner to stimulate the clitoris during oral sex. Similarly, during intercourse, your partner can easily touch the clitoris with his fingers (Tip: use a lot of lubricant) and give you an orgasm that way.
The knowledge of the types of vagina is quite advanced, but for those who are interested, it can be a way to tailor the sexual experience exclusively to your partner and give him the first orgasm he has ever had.
