Doing great work doesn’t include special talent or expensive tools. The secret to success when painting the floor is taking the time to thoroughly prepare the floor.
Preparation of the plan
The steps that lead to the different executions require different treatments. For best results, always remove all furniture from the room. This will save you the risk of scratching your work while saving your place furniture space.
painted floors – If the map is already painted, you may be lucky. You can easily remove varnish from hardwood floors by yourself; if they are in poor condition, it must be a professional.
bare wood – If you are working with an exposed wood floor, you should sand lightly with gradually finer grit sandpaper. Once smooth, clean thoroughly. Be sure to remove sanding dust before removing new paint. It’s a good idea to wipe off all siding, wall or window decorations before painting to prevent dust from objects hitting the wet paint. Once the floor has been ground and cleaned, add a primer or use floor primer.
lacquered floors – A painted floor has a smooth, rectified, clean and primed surface. Once the plan has been repaired, primed and cleaned, place the tape measure around the artist’s sock to the baseline. Press the strap firmly to make a good seal.
Now you are ready to take the next step. The whole process requires preparing more work. The color will change color and style to your room and the problem of an outdated and worn plan, but nothing that won’t darken. The more time and effort it takes to create a smooth, clean floor, the better the end result will be.
Materials Floor paint
The right consumable is important, so take a moment to find a high-quality brush, roller, and color. Using the right materials for the job saves money on costly renovations and can save your back and arms extra strain.
Brush
Quality brushes are less likely to lose bristles or leave marks on the floor. Look for a wide brush if you intend to use it for most of the painting, and have an inch or two brush for detail work and for trimming on the sockellist in the room.
skates
Having a piece of paper for your painting project plan will help the job go faster because you will always have good coverage for every shot. Decide if you’re working with a long or short cane, and test the handle and length for maximum comfort. Roller covers are classified by different surfaces. Choose a nap roll cover and don’t overload it with color as you work. This is the best way to hit the ground without drops or lines while getting moderate coverage.
Color
There are a number of dense forest products readily available that work well in soil; These specifically include paint for floors, porches, and decks. It is also possible to use oil-based polish. When it is necessary to activate the floor, self-priming colors are also available.
How to paint for wood floors
Painting hardwood floors is like painting a different flat surface. Use a wide wall roller or brush for the project. Avoid sprinklers because they can fall and spread on walls. Start by setting the pedestal down a couple of inches. Walk around the room completely and let the paint dry. Continue with the brush or roller in long, even strokes. Follow the grain of the wood. Overlap the strokes from one section to the other as you paint.
After finishing a level, let it dry. One of the easiest mistakes to make is rushing to work. Read the label for the color you purchased and follow the instructions. Instead, add a few hours to a day recommended for rough weather, especially if you’re painting on a very hot, rainy day.
After 1 or 2 coats of color and drying, add a coat of protective polyurethane coating. Two coats would be better for high traffic areas or if you have pets.
If you are going to paint in the most elaborate way, taking into account the boundaries and the stencil on your design floor, you must take into account the following basic rules. Add decorative lacquer paints only after the previous paint coats have completely dried, use a lacquer accent for quality, and add a protective PU layer to protect the lacquer coating from scratches.
