It’s a complete nightmare to wake up and do your hair for 20 minutes and still have the same hairstyle you started with. I have a few tips that have worked for me and many of my clients over the years. Hopefully this will help you de-stress your hair and leave home feeling like a million bucks! These tips are for long, curly, short, and straight hair. Let me know how these work for you. If your questions were not answered, please let me know. I will do my best to help make your hair less stressful in your daily routine!
Shorts:
- 1.) Blow dry your hair with a small amount of mousse. Use a round brush, start at the bottom section and work your way up using up and then up strokes. 2.) “Seed oil” products can do wonders for your frizz! 3.) Simple is better. Try a little wax after blow drying. Take small pieces and comb the hair around your face! 4.) Use low heat and towel dry your hair really well after you get out of the shower. 5.) Buy bobby pins, you can do many styles with them. Take a small section of hair in the front, then bring it back and pin it on both sides.
Long and curly:
- 1.) If you don’t have a transmission, it’s a very good idea to get one. It is an accessory that usually comes with the hair dryer. Helps dry your curls smoothly with less frizz. 2.) Comb your hair instead of brushing it, brushing just causes more frizz. Use a large tooth comb. 3.) When styling with product, use a small amount of mousse and start at the ends to prevent build-up. 4.) Hair bands work great with long, curly hair. A fat headband is great when you can’t find a ponytail holder. 5.) Consider a leave-in conditioner after your shampoo and conditioner. It will help you run that comb through your curls!
Straight:
- 1.) A root bomb (product you use at the roots of your hair before blow-drying, when it’s damp), is a great start to straight, limp hair. 2.) Blow dry your hair upside down, more volume! 3.) Learn to twist your hair in small places on the back of your head, pin it up and see what you get. 4.) Curl the individual pieces lightly using a strong hairspray. Curl hair all over. The wax on the ends helps them stick together. 5.) Try a tight low ponytail, or a half up half down look!
Hopefully some of these tips have helped make your life less stressful. That’s my goal, to make styling your hair fun, easy and less hassle. Have a great day styling without stress!
