Social networks are dead.
At least that’s what an article I read the other day said. The author mentioned some valid points. He said spammers and other types of marketing had destroyed something beautiful once used by friends and family to keep in touch.
While I understand how some might feel that way, I would say that you are still in control of who you befriend. If the person is a spammer, one click and it’s gone.
I personally feel sorry for spammers, especially if they are promoting a network marketing business. Why? Because they are doing it wrong.
At some point, at some point, their upline told them to tell everyone they could about this amazing opportunity. So that’s just what they’re doing.
They still haven’t grasped the concept behind social media marketing.
If they would only take the time to educate themselves, they would understand that people only do business with people they know, like, and trust. How well do you know, like, and trust someone who tries to pitch you before they know what kind of day you’ve had?
I don’t think social media or social media marketing is dead, quite the opposite. In fact, for those of us who get it right, we’re making more real friends than ever before and having a lot of fun doing it.
Never before have we had so much access to people from all over the planet who share our views on things. Are we going to just write it off as dead because some uneducated marketer sends us a link? I hope not.
