The decision to become an entrepreneur is both an exciting and a terrifying prospect. It’s exciting to break out of the traditional boss versus employee mold where you are no longer dictated to or your hard work benefits the corporation more than your salary. Now you are the one who makes the decisions and your life revolves around your business that adapts to your circumstances. However, the prospect of change itself is terrifying, but on a more practical level, there is a fear of starting something new. Having decided that he was going to operate an online marketing business from home, he was looking for certain criteria. I was looking for a business model or marketing system that has proven to be successful. I wanted to join a team of leaders and experts. Having little technical knowledge or marketing experience, I was looking for a company that offered expert training and support, and finally, I was looking for a company that had an attractive product line that offered excellent commissions. So, in a sense, all of the above were involuntary fears. Will this company comply with all of the above?
However, assuming I had chosen a particular company, my biggest fear was that it was a scam. With so much hype about income claims and empty promises on the internet, this was a legitimate concern. I was only able to answer this question by taking the risk of filling out an application form and seeing what happens. I received an email from the sales manager, letting me know that I had my own business coach, a personal invitation to a business description call, and also a warm welcome from my sponsor. All of my concerns were addressed during these meetings. I was informed that I would have my own back-office, access to training resources, marketing modules, video library, autoresponder messaging service, my own custom website, and many other features. I was also informed that there were approximately 20 hours per week of live training calls and webinars covering all marketing aspects of the business, which was an opportunity to learn from the expert growers and become part of the community of other members who They were also on those calls. This was amazing as I was involved in an organization whose primary goal was to educate its members and encourage personal development at all levels.
When I researched the product line, I was informed of a very attractive compensation plan attached to the products that offered generous commissions. I found the whole experience overwhelming when I realized that if I am going to be in this business this is where I want to be. During the weeks and months that followed, every aspect of this business operated exactly as I was told and every effort was made to improve training, improve marketing skills, continually improve the system so that all members received the best training possible to run successful businesses.
My story began with a series of fears, but luckily it had a happy ending. The final thought on this topic is that if you think a business is a scam, look for testimonials, social proof, and research all aspects of the business before joining.
