Previously called ‘Jaginwas’ after Maharana Jagjit Singh (the founder of Lake Palace), the palace served as a royal summer palace before being converted into a five-star heritage hotel. Considered one of the most beautiful palaces in the world, on the serene waters of Lake Pichola, Lake Palace was built in the 17th century on a natural foundation of 4 acres of rock.
