Are you coming to visit our great city of Nashville, TN and bringing some kids? Well, there are plenty of things you can do during your stay that should keep you very entertained. Think about the things your kids love to do in your city, well, we probably have those same things, just different, maybe better, and always fun.
We have a great science museum here that is a bit more like the St. Louis City Museum than a science museum. In the center of the museum is a climbing tower that takes you up to a glass atrium on the roof of the museum. To teach kids about pulleys, there’s a car suspended by ropes that kids can lift and lower, there’s even a weightless chamber for your future astronauts.
Just west of town, off the Bellevue exit (Highway 70), is Red Caboose Park. This gigantic wooden castle structure is hours of fun. There’s even a royal red caboose to hop on, hop on and play with. While the kids play, enjoy the walking track around the playground. This play structure is the largest in Nashville if you don’t count the giant play structure at the Nashville Zoo.
Finally, if your kids like to shop, the Green Hills area of town (Hillsboro Road and Woodmont Boulevard) has all the big names like Life is Good, Five Guys, Whole Foods (where Nicole Kidman is often seen walking) , Gap , Cheesecake Factory, Restoration Hardward and movie theaters. If it’s raining, pack up the car and head to Green Hills.
