Inflammation of the bronchial tubes is also known as bronchitis and it is uncomfortable and bothersome. As the condition worsens, mucus develops. Swelling of the bronchi is the main cause of bronchitis.
There are at least a few things that can help fight this dreadful disease:
Drink much liquid.
It is highly recommended that you drink plenty of water and stay away from liquids like coffee etc. Fresh fruit juice is excellent. Drinking plenty of fluids will help thin the mucus, but keep in mind that the best fluid is water.
Cold drinks are often best avoided as they can constrict the airway.
Look at home for your everyday product remedies.
Ginger is said to be an effective remedy for respiratory problems, such as bronchitis and respiratory problems. Ginger can be taken in many different ways, including tea and added to juices, etc. Drinking the tea several times a day can offer further relief. Try the apple, lemon and ginger juice, wow, it will blow your mind!
Onions! yes Onions are also a great help for bronchitis. Juicing onions is most effective if taken first thing in the morning. They are known to soften phlegm and possibly prevent phlegm build-up.
Almonds are excellent too. It is best to add the 7 ‘crushed’ almonds to your drink just before going to bed.
Wheatgrass, spinach, or other veggies are great too. Juicing these vegetables with carrots and celery is the tastiest.
Asparagus! It is believed to be excellent for fighting bronchitis and asthma. Fresh asparagus, beets, celery, and carrots are also a great combination of juices. You can add other vegetables to your liking.
Last but not least is vitamin C. Antioxidants are believed to help the lungs suffer damage and possible breakdown.
Give up smoking.
Yes, that is correct, you should STOP smoking. It is a well known fact that smoking damages the lungs. This causes the blood vessels to be damaged, which makes it more difficult to absorb oxygen. Smoking is bad. Passive smoking (inhaling other people’s smoke) is just as bad as smoking. Therefore, stay away from smoke in general.
Moisten the air and your surroundings.
It is best to have a vaporizer in your bedroom when you sleep at night if you feel a bronchial attack or a restricted airway. Moisture helps relax and relieve tension in the bronchial membranes and is good for reducing coughs.
Exercise regularly, do you have to be kidding me? Exercise is good for people with breathing difficulties (in a moderate setting, of course).
Swimming and other forms of light regular exercise are good for those with bronchitis and asthma. Breathe fresh air. Get outside if possible. Morning exercise is probably the best, as it “sets a great pace” in your body for the rest of the day. Make sure your posture and breathing are correct when exercising as well.
Practice these minimal steps to help alleviate some of your bronchial symptoms. Remember if you are in pain or something you are unsure about, it is best to seek help from a healthcare professional right away BUT don’t be afraid to try something different or new.
