Have you noticed a change or felt something in the genital area that is unusual and scares you because you have no idea what it is or why it happened there? Depending on how you feel or change, it will be difficult to tell what it is without being examined.
However, because the vagina and penis are packed with terrifying symptoms, the cause is likely an infection. Most penile and vaginal infections are harmless, but they can be very troublesome and cause painful symptoms. Sexually transmitted infections, yeast and bacterial infections such as yeast infection, and bacterial vaginosis are not life-threatening conditions. Of course, if left untreated, some can become serious and cause severe symptoms and become dangerous.
Knowing the symptoms of different genital infections will help you identify which infection you have, that is, if you have one such as an STI or bacterial vaginosis or another. Once the infection is detected, treatment can be sought, although it is best to have a doctor crack the code so that the appropriate treatment is given.
Symptoms of infection below
Genital warts: Don’t panic, but aim to treat them quickly. If your suspicion is correct and you are sure you have genital warts, don’t delay in seeking help. A late response to wart treatment can cause complications.
Warts affect both sexes from 17 to 34 years old and are caused by the human papillomavirus. There are many types of viruses and, to be a little more precise, more than a hundred with at least forty of which can infect. Generally, about two-thirds of people who have sex with an infected partner notice warts around 12 weeks. The expected lump sizes are less than one millimeter (1mm = 0.039in) wide to several square centimeters (1cm = 0.39in) if clustered.
Aside from the actual bumps on the skin, expect itchiness and discharge. Pain is not recognized with genital warts. The bumps may form in groups and appear pinkish or gray. They can also come alone. Warts can change in size depending on how long you have been infected with them.
Trichomoniasis: Not many people have heard of this infection, much less know what is included, unlike gonorrhea due to STIs. Trichomoniasis is a sexually transmitted infection caused by a parasite known as Trichomonas vaginalis. Symptoms usually occur within a month and are similar to many other sexually transmitted infections, so don’t be confused. To successfully treat an infection you have to do it with the right medication, if you do it wrong, you could end up suffering something much worse.
