There is more than one way to monetize your articles. You can go beyond getting traffic and building credibility. In this article, I am going to cover the direct article monetization model.
With the direct model, you use articles to promote a product or service, either yours or other people’s products through your affiliate links.
How could you do this? First, it provides information relevant to the product. Tips and practical information are valuable and compelling to readers. You can also write reviews or convince the readers by revealing some ideas on the product.
Pre-selling is the art and science of engaging prospects and increasing the likelihood that they will actually purchase your product. Focus on the benefits of the product and give reasons why they want to buy it.
The resource box is the part where you’ll ask readers to take action, learn more, or buy the product you write about. Although you can usually do better by using other marketing strategies like email marketing to follow up, direct selling is one known method that works.
You can do a lot of things with traffic, but if you funnel it directly to make money through ads or sales, you’re using the direct monetization model.
You can also use articles as a source of income if you embed ads on the page. Ad networks like Google AdSense allow you to serve a large amount of ad inventory without having to keep up all the administrative work and recruiting advertisers. So it is certainly a working model if you want to earn extra income from your articles.
