If you’re not making the amount of money you want, then it’s time to make some changes! Below I have listed 5 things to focus on that almost guarantee you will make more money if you implement them.
1) Building your list.
This is obvious. If you build and nurture the relationship with your list, then you make more money. It doesn’t get much easier than that. If you don’t have a subscription list, start one, send content mixed with sales offers (more content than offers), and build everything! Your own subscription list is like your own money printing machine!
2) Establish automated systems.
Another thing you should focus on is automation. The Internet business model gives us the ability to incorporate a lot of automation to do a lot of the hard work for us, which is a huge advantage over other types of businesses. Whenever you find something in your business that works, automate it and move on to find something else that works. This is an easy way to grow your business.
3) Your business model.
How is your business model? do you at least have one? Or are you just bouncing from program to program trying to make something stick? Make sure you’re really building a business and not starting something completely new every few months when the current fad fades. If the “flavor of the month” style of marketing isn’t making you money, maybe it’s time to build a real online business that you can work and build.
4) Product development
I must say that of all the people I know who make a lot of money online, most are very prolific product creators. Sure, some of them aren’t and they make a living promoting other people’s products. But it seems that the easiest trend to make big money online is to have your own diverse product line. The real money comes from diversity. Have a cheap lead offer (less than $50), then a mid-range offer, a high-priced item ($500 or more), and add some continuity and you’re all set! I know that this is easier said than done, but in most cases, it will be quite difficult for you to earn a lot of money constantly promoting other people’s products. Sure, you can do it in bursts, but the real money comes from affiliates working for you, not from you working as an affiliate.
5) Building your network.
Building your network of business friends is incredibly important to success. Many people think that this is for joint ventures. I meet you, we become friends and promote each other’s products, we make money, it’s a win-win, right?
Well, that’s true, but there’s a lot more to a good business relationship than just a joint venture. There is also a group of experts. Everyone in your tightly knit network is basically part of your intellectual pool (one you don’t have to pay $10-20k a year to be a part of too). These are people with whom you can share your ideas, get help, ask questions, share secrets, etc. Another great benefit is that you can also connect to your network. If you make a friend in your market who has more experience than you, he/she can have many other friends in the same market who can promote you, program, strategize and do many other things to help your business.
Your network of friends has enormous potential for the growth of your business, and you should always try to focus on expanding it whenever possible.
Start shifting focus to these 5 business builders and I am sure you will increase profits!
