Strepsils

Children usually outgrow the disease by 12 years, while adults may not see a difference after this period. In addition, children do not require taking the medication thrice a day and this is because they can control the secretion of saliva with the help of salt. However, for adults who need medication thrice a day, they should take a lozenge in the morning, an hour before lunch, another hour before dinner, and another once before sleeping at night. One needs to take these regularly for a few months for effective treatment.
Provide Temporary Relief From Strepsils Throats
Children tend to suffer from the disease when they are under while sleeping. Hence, they require reducing pressure on the throat during sleep and also make sure that they take the medicine regularly. Adults need not worry about their children when they are taking the medicine since they will not be affected by it when they are sleeping. Adults need not consume the medication near bedtime as this will not prevent them from having oral thrushes.
Posology is used to treat most cases of throat infections and is effective in relieving symptoms in most of the patients. The affected area is cleaned using a moistened towel or cloth which has been soaked in warm water. Posology helps in providing temporary relief. When the medication has dried up, one lozenge will last for approximately half an hour and will provide relief to the patients.
Some of the commonly used strep throat lozenge ingredients are glycerin, potassium sorbate, sodium saccharin, sodium lauryl sulfate, magnesium hydrochloride, magnesium sulfate etc. The medication should be applied on the affected part with the help of soft cloth or cotton wool on a regular basis and should be kept in an open location. For patients who do not respond to these medications, alternate daily application of the medication.
